West Hill Park provides a wide variety of extra-curricular activities which are offered to the children from Year 3 upwards. The number of activities increase as the children move up the school and can cope with a longer day.

Some activities are carried out during the school's working day but most are done after Prep, between 5.30 and 7.00 pm. Although there is no obligation for the children to take part in these activities many choose to enjoy several, and day children as well as boarders will be found in school on most evenings.

The programme is varied enough to offer enjoyment, challenge and success to any child. During any one year boys and girls can pick from a range of activities that include carpentry, chess, drama, golf, horse riding, and sailing.

More than 70% of our children learn to play musical instruments. They are encouraged to take music exams as well as to play in the ensembles and school orchestra, or to sing in one of the choirs.
