Year 7 History trip to London

We enjoyed an extremely lively lecture on the English Civil Wars, delivered by a Mr Bromfield look alike, at the National Army museum in Chelsea. It was both informative and fun with plenty of opportunity to try on uniforms and handle artefacts. Shane Lee, Matthew Freeguard and Corrina Earey were dressed up as musketeer, pikeman and cavalry officer respectively.

Next we walked round Trafalgar square to have a stroll through the National Gallery, viewing many of the nations finest acquisitions. Finally we went to the National Portrait Gallery to have a tour around the Tudor and Stuart section. This is always very rewarding as we see many pictures that are in our text books. After a very welcome tea break we headed for home having completed a very successful and full trip. Thank you to all the staff that helped, Miss Carmody, Mr Heathcote, Mr. Budgen and Mrs Bromfield.
