| Ensembles |
| The Chamber Choir will be performing a challenging programme |
| of two-part music at the Carol Service in Titchfield Parish Church. |
This elite group of singers from years 6-8 is gaining a high profile within the school. |
| Future events include an Easter Service, madrigals on May Day and a performance at Prizegiving. |

The Orchestra will be performing Mr Hall's “Canada Suite” at the Spring Concert this term. The piece |
| was specially written for the pupils of West Hill Park and was designed to stretch them beyond what |
| they believed they could achieve. |

The trombone and bassoon parts were written quite recently! It is great that some pupils have chosen |
| to learn these bass instruments – it creates a much-needed depth to the sound of the orchestra. |
| |
The Jazz Band will be performing for the first time in the Spring Concert. This fledgling group has a wide |
| ability range from novice trombonist, Charly, to experienced members of staff, Mr Heathcote |
| and Mr Kettlewell. |

Class Lessons |
| Every child from Nursery to year 8 has class music lessons. |
| |
Events |
Swing into Spring – This concert of jazz and light music will be presented by staff for the enjoyment of |
| pupils. The atmosphere will be relaxed; wine and snacks will be served throughout the evening. |

Lunchtime Concert – These popular concerts are attended by many pupils and are also open to family |
| and friends. The items in lunchtime concerts are solo pieces and duets. |

Spring Concert – This concert will showcase the ensembles of West Hill Park . The Orchestra, Chamber |
Choir, Jazz Band and Senior Strings will perform. |

Easter Celebration – The Chamber Choir will lead an extended assembly with a selection of joyful Easter |
anthems. |
All music department events are free of charge. |
