PSHE and Citizenship

Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE), like no other subject, addresses the whole child. It is not examined or graded but deals with issues that affect each child and all communities such as relationships, managing positive and negative emotions, and healthy living.

PSHE is taught in pupils’ form groups twice a week and involves a great deal of discussion and collaboration with peers. Children learn to form and express opinions, as well as appreciating and respecting the opinions of others. A key aim of PSHE is to develop confidence and responsibility as well as to build self-esteem.
