Children move to the Main School forms from
the age of 7. Their curriculum in the Main School
is dependent on their age and form. Children
are normally moved up according to their age
so that nobody is 'left behind'. Potential scholarship
candidates are accelerated through the system
so that they spend their final two years
in Upper 1.
The complete range of National Curriculum subjects
is studied from the age of 8. Forms are unstreamed.
Children are taught by their class teacher for
most subjects except for Art, Computers, Music,
PE, Swimming, Craft, Design & Technology
and French
