The Pre-Prep Day

In the Pre-Prep Department the morning session runs from 8:30am to 12:00 noon with a 20-minute mid morning playtime.

The curriculum emphasis during the morning is on the development of numeracy and literacy skills.

During the morning session there is a snack break when the children have fresh fruit and /or water to drink.

Each morning we have an assembly before morning playtime.

At lunchtime, between 12:00 noon and 12:30pm, the children eat together with their class teacher in the school dining room. Lunchtime play then takes place from 12:30pm to 1:10pm.

The afternoon session is from 1:10pm to 3:15pm.

In the afternoons the children take part in a wide and varied programme of study which encompasses Science, Geography, History, Art, French, PE, Swimming, Gymnastics, ICT Design Technology, Food Technology, Religious Education and PHSE.

During our playtime sessions, weather permitting the children play outside where there is plenty of space for them to have fun. The Pre-Prep Department has its own playground with outdoor toys and games. The children also play on the adventure play equipment, the school fields and the astro turf pitches.

The Foundation and Reception parents are invited by their children every Monday at 3:00pm to share what they have been doing.

The school day ends at 3:15pm when children can either go home or join the after school activities that run from 3:30pm to 5.30pm.
