Saturday Morning at West Hill Park

The contentment and happiness of our pupils is an essential prerequisite to their well-being and learning within the school. The diverse co-curricular programme offers a selection of activities to cater for the wide range of interests of the pupils. This also helps them to develop the Bee core skills, plus enhances their mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing.

Our activity-based Saturday school encourages pupils from Years 3 - 8 to enjoy their morning in a slightly different way to the other days of the week. The format of Saturday mornings is much less formal, uniform is usually not necessary and there is a slightly later start time. This is a wonderful opportunity for pupils to explore and be curious about new interests or spend more time on the hobbies they enjoy.

Two activity slots of ninety minutes give us the opportunity to offer activities off-site, (e.g., sailing or climbing) as well as a varied programme of sports training, play rehearsals, art and design projects, bush craft and other outdoor pursuits. In the appropriate terms, there will be time for subject extension work, specialist revision sessions, scholarship and exam preparation. We also encourage parents (with the usual safeguarding procedures in place) to share their passions and skills with the children by becoming involved in activities.
